What sort of training
do you do to keep in shape?
A:
Believe it or
not, I train exactly like the guy's do! I use the Max-IT
training program for my weight training using the same
priciples and I really like the multiple rep sets with
increasing weight. The only difference is that I incorparate
more dance and gymnastic into my training. When training
for a competition I do a bit more cardio to increase
my energy expenditure. The cardio however is done at
the opposite end of the day I do my Max-IT training.
That's to say if I train with Max-IT in the morning,
I do cardio in the evening.
A lot of girls
are scared that if they do heavy weight training, they
will get big like the guys! I am living proof that this
is not the case, plus girls don't have the same amount
of male hormone, testosterone, which is related to increasing
muscle size, as guys do. Initially, when girls start
heavy weight training, they increase in size because
of extra muscle gained with little or no fat loss. This
usually happens within the first 3-4 weeks. Then after
because of the increased metabolism through the muscle
they have gained, they start to drop weight quickly
and tone up. So don't despair girls when you first start
training you put on a little weight and you seem to
get bigger. Keep at it and be consistant and you will
see results.
